**The Project**:
Located in the small suburb of Loxford in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, approximately three km north of the town of Kurri Kurri, approximately 35 km west of Newcastle and 125 km north of Sydney.

The Project will be fully automated, with operations, control and monitoring able to be monitored and controlled from Snowy Hydro’s Control Centre in Cooma, NSW,

The Hunter Power Station Project is expected to have approximately 660 megawatts and will be generated via two heavy-duty open cycle gas turbines, and the turbines functionality will be incorporated into the facility. Operations is considered a backup function in the case that gas supply to the site is not available, this will connect into the existing electricity transmission, infrastructure is located near the Site and anticipated to be fully operational and anticipated by the end of January 2024.

**About the role**:
UGL is currently looking for a **Yard / Laydown Supervisor** for our Power division based on site in the Hunter Valley region.

As a Yard / Laydown Supervisor you will be is responsible for managing the day to day operations in the yard onsite.
- Ensure all transports are compliant with Management Plans, NHVR’s and Chain of Responsibility compliant
- Ensure all road regulations compliant and incidences reported appropriate parties
- Coordinate with Procurement, Suppliers, LSP’s, Site Management & Client for all Goods deliveries
- Maintain registers all site deliveries including description, quantities, sizes, weights, storage class, routes, unloading requirements, shipping document proforma’s and final shipping documents.
- Ensure utilisation rates for accommodation and vehicles are at or above targeted levels and that on-hold rooms and short-hire vehicle hires are kept to a minimum
- Accountability for the provision of labour, equipment, and accommodation to projects across the business to meet contractual and project requirements
- Provide leadership, direction, supervision and inspirational management to all team members (direct & indirect).

**To be successful you will require**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the same position
- Good level Microsoft Office including Excel, Work, PowerPoint
- Experience Logistic and Warehousing tools beneficial
- Strong organisational & planning
- Strong time management skills
- Display effective verbal and written communication capability.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Excellent relationship building, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills.
