**About the **Project**:
The Preschool Loans Program is a new program that will loan out educational resource kits that aim to increase scientific literacy, ignite a deeper understanding of and respect for First Nations peoples and cultures, and care and responsibility for the natural world. The kits are designed to be accessible for a range of learning abilities providing an authentic and tactile object-based learning approach for students and their educators. The intention is for the program to expand across regional NSW and reach preschools through establishing community hubs, who will loan the kits to their own communities.

The program is currently at proof-of-concept stage, with a prototype kit developed and tested in a small number of preschools in metropolitan Sydney. An impact study using an Outcomes Evaluation approach has also been undertaken to understand if and to what extent the program is achieving its intended outcomes.

The next stage of development will build on existing relationships with regional stakeholders to pilot the program and operating model with 2-3 community hubs. In addition, there will be development of the digital component of the program and continued implementation and refinement of the program’s impact evaluation framework.

**About the Role**:
The Regional Education Lead will lead the development and delivery of high quality education programs and activities focused on regional audiences (outreach), particularly those of early years students, teachers and families. The role will ensure programs adhere to appropriate pedagogies, meet the needs of audiences and maximise opportunities to showcase AM and community knowledges. The role will work closely and build relationships with external stakeholders including local and state government, libraries, museums, other community organisations and funders to develop and build capacity for NSW communities. This is the lead role for educational outreach for the Education branch.

**Employment Status**:

- Clerk Grade 7/8
- Fixed term
- Part time 28 hours per week
- Period of engagement: up to 30 June 2025

You will be paid a competitive annual salary/hourly rate $106,025 - $113,746, pro-rated, plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently at 11.5%) and annual leave loading.

**About you**

We are seeking an educator with solid experience in program development and relationship building. A strong understanding of the needs of early years audiences, the opportunities and challenges of communities in regional NSW, and a passion for the transformative effect of quality education and access.

**Knowledge & Experience**
- Demonstrated experience in education program development and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a cultural institution environment.
- Demonstrated ability to create and foster productive working relationships with a range of organisations.
- Demonstrated understanding of the opportunities and challenges of communities in regional NSW.
- Demonstrated understanding of social impact measurement.

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary level qualifications, or demonstrable equivalent professional experience, in a relevant discipline
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children Clearance
