Salary : $65,000 - $75,000 a year

Freshwater Creek Cakes is a vibrant country bakery with an excellent reputation and has been trading for nearly 50 years. They are currently looking for hardworking, dedicated Pastry Cook and Baker to join their team.

Job Summary - Baker

Mix ingredients (excellent dough maker) and bake ingredients using the understanding of the ingredients to produce breads, rolls or other baked goods.

Job Summary - Pastry Cook

Prepare quality pastry items such as breakfast items, desserts, cookies, cakes, pies, biscuits, displays/centrepieces, and special request items.

**The Role**
As a Pastry Cook/Baker you will need to possess the following:

- Dough mixing, pastry mixing, laminating, and sheeting of pastry.
- Kneading, hand moulding and scaling dough
- Monitoring and adjusting oven temperatures determine baking times.
- Inspecting quality of products throughout production process
- Ensuring wastage is minimized and budget of supplies and materials are adhered.
- A work ethic with a focus on continual self-improvement
- Creative drive and a genuine interest in food history and trends

**Successful applicants must have the following**:

- Relevant qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
- Proactive, energetic and shares a passion for the hospitality industry.
- Willingness to constantly learn and be inspired.
