The Logistics Manager role is within the Wilmar BioEthanol arm of the business. Wilmar BioEthanol is Australia's largest manufacturer, and distributor of sugarcane-based ethanol products. We produce 60 million litres of ethanol a year and have leading positions in supplying the extensive range of Australian manufacturing industries. The business also has a strong trading department importing tailored products that support its Ethanol offering.

**Job Vacancy**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager to lead our logistics team whilst being responsible for creating and implementing logistics solutions for the BioEthanol business across our network to deliver cost competitive results.

In this role, you will be the driving force in providing innovative solutions to the business on all matters relating to logistics and warehousing. You will be required to negotiate high spend contracts and the creation of budgets. Some of your key responsibilities will be:

- Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
- Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems
- Work closely with the Supply & Operations Planning (S&OP) team to optimise stock holdings and movements
- Ensure accurate and proficient management and control of our inventory
- Management of people and processes involved in Import and Export of goods
- Create policies or procedures for logistics activities

**The Successful Applicant**

We are looking for an energetic professional who has demonstrated experience in logistics & warehouse environments and dealing with complex operational issues. You will exhibit strategic thinking and be solutions focused. The high energy, self-starter we seek will have a have passion for innovation and driving business results.

To be successful in this role you will be Tertiary qualified in Business Management / Commerce, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or another relevant discipline or be able to demonstrate high levels of competency in critical areas of expertise.

As well as specific experience with:

- High level experience in a senior / management Logistics / operations role
- SAP experience (highly regarded)
- Chemicals and Dangerous Goods Management knowledge is desirable
- Demonstrated negotiating skills
- Demonstrated understanding of Logistics and networks within the Logistics functions
