Newly created opportunity for a Draftsperson to join our Engineering Team in Queensland.

You will become a core part of our team in QLD managing all CAD data and its support systems, ensuring it complies with the relevant standards and procedures.

Along with on-the-job training there will also be development within the role through internal training programs and external accreditations where relevant to the role. Successful applicant will be provided with pathway to supervision and leaderships roles resulting in long term career opportunities within Motion Australia.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Create **CAD designs and drawings for manufacturing
- **Produce **accurate and timely drawings and details for construction to agreed deadlines.
- **Edit** plans and drawings, sketches, schedules and models in compliance with preferred software standards and detailing practices.
- **Liaise **with clients in preparation and production of product and site-specific detail drawings.
- **Maintain **document control to ensure timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents
- **Travel** to customers and workshop sites to measure, and record details of machine items as part of the design process
- **Interact **with workshops and manufacturing subcontractors to assist with manufacturing

**Who are you?**
- **Minimum of 5 years of experiences in Mechanical Drafting**:

- **Strong **mechanical drafting capabilities, written and verbal communication skills.
- **Current** driver’s licence.
- **Focused **on quality work & customer service excellence.
- **Commitment **towards safe work practices.
- **Ability to travel **(intra and interstate) and visiting branches
