**The Company**:
Our client, based in a northern suburb of Adelaide, is an ASX listed company working in cutting edge medium to large scale, automated robotic 3D printing systems.

**The Role**:
You will be
**managing** a team of 4 software/firmware engineers with experience in executing a
**pre-defined roadmap**. You’ll be at home tapping into your
**mechatronics** skills, developing integrated robotic systems for operational capabilities. Technically minded, as part of your new Robotics/Software Engineering team lead role, you will learn how to run our proprietary equipment and install, commission, and innovate our systems.

While based in Adelaide, the role provides local and international remote working opportunities. You will see yourself operating the resident industrial 3D printing system located at Line Zero, Factory of the Future at Tonsley, and have the potential to commission similar systems around Australia and globally as we expand into the American and European markets.

**Key Objectives and Responsibilities include**:

- Operating the proprietary metal 3D robotic welding equipment, including manufacturing, prototyping and planning of projects;
- Assisting in creating CAD models to assist with printing complex part geometries and path planning;
- Development of integrated robotic systems for operational capabilities, including procedure, quality and safety system development;
- Installation and commissioning of production cells;
- Provide support and assistance to the software engineer for robotic welding procedures related to 3D build path software improvements;
- Identify opportunities where the proprietary process could be advantageous for the ongoing innovation program;
- Assist in developing related software, hardware, manufacturing equipment and other company needs;
- Establish Design Guides to ensure lessons learned, and best practices are documented;
- Ability to work within a range of ISO standards.

**Key Skills and Experience include**:

- A Tertiary Qualification in **Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics** or similar;
- **10+** years of relevant experience in Robotic/Software Engineering;
- Solid experience **leading and mentoring** a team of software engineers with strong communication and people skills and demonstrated sound **leadership** and **team building** capability;
- Experience executing and delivering a pre-defined **roadmap**;
- Experience in planning and executing **complex** projects;
- Strong **problem-solving** skills related to Robotics/Software Engineering, including implementation of solutions and improvement of procedures;
- **Results-orientated**, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to discuss technical topics and influence relevant stakeholders;
- Strong **time management** and **organisational** skills, as well as the ability to **prioritise** effectively;
- **Innovative**, with solid problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box and on your feet;
- A diligent and hardworking team player who **leads by example** and from the front;
- Practical robotics or welding experience is desirable;
- A background or experience in Defence, Oil & Gas, Marine or advanced manufacturing is desirable
- Experience with continuous integration is desirable.
