Physical Education Teacher

**Role Description/Criteria**

Our Lady Help of Christians Primary School requires an enthusiastic Physical Education/ Sports Specialist to join our team for the 2024 school year. The role is one day a week and will involve teaching all primary year levels. We are seeking a teacher who will contribute to the positive and collaborative culture we have built at Our Lady Help of Christians.

Applicants must have current VIT registration and accreditation to teach in a Catholic School would be preferable.

- Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement a quality program and appropriate pedagogy
- Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning

- Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
- Collaborate and coordinate with the Leadership team and staff to provide opportunities for students to perform and showcase their artistic talents to share with the school community

To be successful in this role you will bring contemporary teaching experience in the Physical Education area as well as:

- A clear understanding of the Victorian Curriculum
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisational skills including thorough documentation of the Physical Education program
- Commitment and experience to support a range of student abilities within an inclusive learning environment
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement

Applicants are required to:

- Have accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or demonstrate a willingness to work towards such accreditation)
- Hold a current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
