Your role at St John of God Outreach Services
Working hours and roster:
Week 1:
Thursday 15:00 to 22:30 sleepover then 07:00 to 09:00 Friday morning.
Week 2:
Friday 14:30 to 23:00 sleepover then 07:00 to 08:30 Saturday morning
Saturday 16:30 to 23:00 sleepover then 07:00 to 08:30 Sunday morning
Sunday 16:30 to 23:00 sleepover then 07:00 to 10:30 Monday morning
The Position- Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, placing their interests and well-being at the forefront of all interactions.- Provide safe and stable long term accommodation to a young people who are at risk of being homelessness, creating an environment that promotes growth and development.- Offer outreach, strengths based and practical support to meet the continuum of care arrangements for young people with complex needs.- Assist young people in realising their aspirations and potential, through participating in education, training, and employment services.- Assist in case management and planning for young people- Support young people in developing independent living skills
You will have an understanding of the special needs of adolescents and trauma-informed care, together with recent experience working with at-risk young people, extensive experience in an area related to youth work and knowledge of the Privacy Legislation and Occupational, Health & Safety Act Regulations.
Successful applicants will hold a minimum Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar, State’s Drivers Licence, valid First Aid & CPR and Working with Children Card.

We can offer you- Salary: $74,031 to $79,388 plus 11.5% Superannuation- Permanent part-time, working 19 hours per week- Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
