About the Business Unit
Based within the Service Delivery Reform, Coordination and Workplace Safety Division of the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), Ministerial Services is responsible for, among other things, statutory appointments, coordination of DJCS entity annual reports, departmental liaison staff in Ministerial Offices, overseas ministerial travel and the coordination of Cabinet and Committees, Parliament and legislation.
About the Role
The Adviser will provide advice to departmental staff about upcoming appointments to statutory entities, write, prepare and lodge Cabinet and Governor in Council paperwork for ministerial offices, deputy secretaries and the Secretary, and manage the probity process. The Adviser may also assist with the coordination of briefings for annual reports and overseas ministerial travel, as well as other duties as required.

**Some of your duties may include**:

- Providing authoritative advice on statutory appointments in the Justice portfolio
- Preparing briefings, Cabinet and Governor in Council paperwork, and ministerial and other correspondence in relation to appointments
- Proactively implementing work plans and addresses issues
- Undertaking finely detailed work in a precise and accurate manner
- Producing a range of complex work products and recommendations on relevant issues

About You
- Experience in coordinating significant volumes of documents and information requests.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, in restrictive timeframes.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Knowledge of and/or experience in government and administrative processes.
- Understanding of Cabinet, Executive Council and legislative processes, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.

This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
