**The Opportunity**

Located in Parkville (Australia), we are looking for a **Quality Control (QC) Specialist** to join the QC Immunology team in this **Fixed Term role until 31 December 2024**. In this interesting role you will support a team responsible for influenza virus vaccine (IVV) potency and biochemistry testing. The **QC Specialist** will also embed technical ‘know how’ within the group by educating and training all operators involved in sampling and assay execution.

**The Role**

Reporting to Team Leader QC Immunology, in this office and lab based role you will:

- Coordinate and schedule various tests to be undertaken by the team to ensure prompt batch release
- Undertake testing in the lab if and when required
- Authorise and approve test results for assays including SIRD and EIA
- Oversee the training and compliance requirements of all operators involved in product sampling and assay execution
- Undertake projects for the manage the testing of new products
- Review, update and issue relevant QC documentation and ensure the team is audit ready at all times
- Participate in investigations relating to deviations, CAPAs and change controls

**Your skills and experience**
- Bachelor’s degree a relevant scientific immunology or biochemistry preferred
- 3+ years' related pharmaceutical experience including 2 years' experience in a regulated environment
- 2+ years’ experience in undertaking a variety of biochemistry assays in a GLP/GMP testing environment
- Experience in troubleshooting lab instruments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team
