**About the role**
- Contribute to the provision of safe, best practice, cost effective clinical services to patients of, and referred to the CALHN Breast Endocrine Unit.
- Contribute to teaching/training of undergraduates, junior medical staff and surgical trainees.
- Contribute to the Service achieving best practice in the design and delivery of clinical services to its patients.
- Contribute to research.
- The role provides specialist surgical services to patients with breast, endocrine and surgical oncology conditions.
- The applicant will have excellent technical surgical skills in the area of breast and endocrine surgery. In particular the applicant will be able to counsel patients about oncoplastic breast surgical techniques and provide appropriate oncoplastic procedures.
- There is an opportunity to participate in the emergency management of general surgery patients through participation in the acute surgery roster.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
- Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), full member of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ) and member of Australian and New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons (ANZES).
- Participation in the Professional Development programme and recertification activities of the RACS and BreastSurgANZ, including participation in the BreastSurgANZ Breast Quality Audit (BQA) and the Australian and New Zealand Thyroid Cancer Registry (ANZTCR).

**Essential Requirements**
