Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the **Lawyer - Project Construction and Disputes** is responsible for providing specialist support on project construction claims and disputes and project construction contracts in
the renewable energy sector. Sydney CBD office but national presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal adviser in the construction law area, particularly construction law disputes and commercial matters(ie back-end experience, and with front end exposure) in renewable energy projects.
- Provide legal support and assistance in managing project construction and drafting of project construction contracts.
- Lead management of claims and disputes, particularly construction project claims, and draft commercial contractual documentation for Project construction and related matters.
- Advise on construction law regulatory changes and legal developments.
- Assist in identifying and managing key legal risks.
Experience and knowledge
- At least 8 years years post admission experience as a lawyer (no upper limit)
- Valid practising certificate.
- Experience in construction litigation.
- Experience in disputes/litigation.
- Sound knowledge and ability to work in a manner consistent with good ethics, our values and good corporate governance.
