**Level B ($107,276 to $126,894) per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation**

**The School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences is seeking an outstanding individual, passionate about teaching and research, to contribute to the teaching and research programs in the rapidly growing Discipline of Computer Science. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of a range of courses at all levels of the Computer Science curriculum with an emphasis. You will be expected to be an active and productive researcher, with specialisation in one of the fields of **Cyber Security, Optimisation, Data Science and/or Software Engineering. You will join a large team of committed educators and researchers engaged in education, research and industry collaboration across a broad spectrum of computer science specialisations.**

**The position is available from 1**st** January 2024.**

**To be successful you will need**:
**Lecturer (Level B)**
- A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline, or equivalent qualifications and experience.
- Ability to teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the fundamentals of Computer Science as well as in one or more of the specialisations of cyber security, optimisation, data science and/or software engineering.
- A student-focussed approach to education.
- A record of success in delivering quality teaching at the tertiary level and responsibility as course coordinator.
- A strong track record of publications, research grants, research student supervision or other achievements in research and innovation demonstrating scholarship in one or more of the research specialisations of Cyber Security, Optimisation, Data Science and/or Software Engineering. Research interests spanning more than one of these fields, and a capacity for inter-disciplinary research, will be well regarded.
- A willingness and ability to engage with industry will also be highly regarded.
- Commitment to the principles of equity, diversity and inclusion, and ability to contribute to the diversity of the School community.
