**Position Summary**:
This position is responsible for performing timely and accurate preparation and testing of samples and to report and communicate results, to ensure the smooth operation of the analytical laboratory and an outstanding level of internal and external customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for day-to-day quality control functions around the manufacturing site, including monitoring of daily checks, microbiological sampling, and testing of finished product and raw ingredients.
- Complete all tasks and duties as reasonably requested by your leader which includes the following:

- Operate and monitor all equipment related to the lab.
- Conduct weight checking, environmental checking (including plant cleanliness), daily check of PH levels on produced products, routine plant swabs, calibration checks on thermometers, date code verifications.
- Check/ cross reference temperatures on all fridges, chillers, and incubators.
- Daily checks of caustic and acid strengths, and CIP strength testing of cleaning chemicals.
- Checking Hypo strength of starter buckets on all production lines.
- To provide accurate, precise, and timely communication of results of all testing and analysis to internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible for assuring quality of batch preparation and quality control activities by conducting product inspection, sampling, testing and sensory evaluation to meet specification and quality standards.
- Carry out day-to-day lab testing work including sample preparation, chemical & machine calibration, and minor maintenance.
- Record, review and archive data to ensure all documentation is complete and accurate for compliance with regulatory agencies.
- Manage the SAP hold and release process.

**Job Requirements**:

- Degree in relevant science field (Food Science, Microbiology or Biochemistry).
- Demonstrated laboratory experience and proficient in basic laboratory skills: pipetting, weighing, measuring. Preferably analytical testing - fats, proteins, and T Solids and Milkoscan experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Sound problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to explain test findings and trouble-shoot errors.
- Good time-management skills and ability to manage competing priorities to deliver results on time.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to complete all required tasks.
- Pay: $41.83 per hour_
