**Head of Faculty - Mathematics**

**The position**

Applications are invited from innovative and inspiring leaders for the position of Head of Faculty, Mathematics. This is a full time role commencing Term 1, 2024. A substantive role as Teacher and a 3 year appointment for the position of leadership as Head of Faculty is on offer.

Working in consultation with the Director of Teaching and Learning, the Head of Faculty will be responsible for the vision and direction of the faculty and in maintaining the high levels of expectation and standards of teaching and learning, assessment and reporting. The Head of Faculty is responsible for the development, review and implementation of a dynamic and innovative curriculum that both challenges and inspires students. They lead by example as an outstanding classroom practitioner and leader.

**About You**

To be successful in this position, it is essential that you have:

- A tertiary teaching qualification and current VIT registration
- Excellent leadership skills and experience leading and managing high performing teams
- Experience leading curriculum development and pedagogy and curriculum implementation
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, negotiating, influencing and communication skills
- High levels of digital literacy
