**Hunter Integrated Pain Service (HIPS)**

**Where you'll be working**:
The position will be based within the Hunter Integrated Pain Service, located at the lodge building at the John Hunter Hospital, working alongside the clinicians and other administration staff to provide services to our clients. The Hunter Integrated Pain service is a multi-disciplinary service that works collectively to support patients who experience chronic pain through outpatient appointments. We provide advice and education to General Practitioners in the community on how to support patients who are living with chronic pain.

**About the role**:

- Provide administrative support to the HIPS clinicians to assist them with treating patients who utilise our service
- Medical typing and distribution of medical letters
- Booking of outpatient appointments and assistance with waitlist management
- Provide secretarial support by answering the phone and assisting with general administration tasks

**About you**:

- You have demonstrated self-driven capability in administrative support and are passionate about delivering services that make a positive difference to the community
- You possess excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in spoken word, and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels
- You can work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team
- You have experience in an administrative setting with established high-level computer literacy and typing skills
