About Us

Commencing operations at the beginning of 2023, the new School of IT at Murdoch University provides excellent teaching and research facilities, with over 30 academic staff. The school offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses located both in Perth and transnationally in Singapore, Dubai, and Malaysia.

The school’s teaching programs build on Murdoch’s extensive experience in scientific training and research across the whole discipline of IT. The school has key IT research strengths in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing and Computer Graphics, Cyber Security and Networking, and Business information Systems.

The school is growing in student numbers with around 1000 students at Perth and 500+ transnationally.

The Role

This position contributes to the teaching effort of the Discipline through the preparation and delivery of
lectures, tutorials, other types of teaching activities, and supervision of honours and postgraduate students

and is expected to perform a range of administrative and service functions within the College and across
the University.

What you’ll bring to this role
- A PhD in Computer Science, IT, software engineering or a closely related area, and the ability to meet the requirements for membership of the Australian Computer Society.
- Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary approaches to curriculum and pedagogy.
