**ABOUT THE ROLE
**Origin is leading the transition to net zero through clean energy and customer solutions. Gas forms an essential part of the energy mix during the transition and Origin, via the Integrated Gas Business Unit, is continuing to invest in gas exploration and production throughout Australia.**

**The purpose of the position is to provide technical capability during commissioning phase & on-going maintenance of new and existing electrical/instrument equipment. This includes compiling Job Safety Environment Analysis (JSA’s) and planning day to day tasks with leads and technical teams.**

**This role assists in the development of equipment bill of materials (BOM’s) and maintenance activities (SOP’s). It executes preventative and corrective maintenance activities in line with site schedules, fault finding and troubleshooting of site equipment. It provides technical input for supervisors and technical teams in the field, to manage work fronts in a safe and efficient manner and ensures the quality of activities is consistent with relevant standards.**

- Review and provide technical assistance with maintenance activities and methodology
- Review tooling and facilities for maintenance activities and provide recommendations
- Active participation in work permitting and completing JSA activities to ensure a safe work environment for all employees
- Support the maintenance team to meet overall objectives
- Assist with commissioning activities as required
- Hands on Testing, Commissioning & Maintenance of various types of Electrical/Instrument equipment (EEHA)

**ABOUT YOU**

**You will be an excellent team player, with good written and verbal communication skills. You will have proven experience in similar roles and a sound understanding of Health Safety and Environmental practices. Plus, you will have good computer literacy and excellent reporting skills. You will be proactive, organised and can successfully self-manage your work. In addition, you will be able to support apprentices with technical training.**

**More about you**
- QLD Electrical Trade Licence
- Cert III Instrumentation and Control
- Experience in testing, commissioning & maintenance of electrical and instrument equipment in a hazardous area
- Experience with working within a Permit to Work System.
- Experience in interpreting electrical schematics, circuit diagrams and P&ID’s
- Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Origin’s is currently SAP
- Current Drivers Licence

**Desirable**
- Experience in testing & commissioning of LV Electrical systems
- EEHA qualification and experience
- 10 + years’ experience
- Formal qualification in Instrumentation
- Experience with Hart instrumentation protocol
- Yokogawa PLC & DCS
- Formal High Voltage Qualification
