about the role

Chevron Australia has an exciting opportunity for an entry level Health and Safety (H&S) Specialist. Reporting to the Workforce H&S Manager, this permanent role will be based in Chevron’s new building at One The Esplanade with regular visits to work sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a background in and passion for safety to develop their career in in Health & Safety.

The H&S specialist will support the provision of health and safety guidance on a wide range of personnel safety issues including the identification of risks, safeguards, and associated assurance activities. It also supports the execution of all facets of Control of Work (CoW), Contractor Operational Excellence Management (COEM), Motor Vehicle Safety (MVS), and other workforce safety programs. This role will also provide workforce safety guidance and support to operations and projects.

- Degree qualified in Health & Safety- Ability to articulate and engage with stakeholders on a broad range of H&S aspects using strong communication skills.- Strong team player and ability to work in a dynamically changing work environment.- Proven knowledge and awareness of H&S issues affecting industry and ability to deliver results and meet objectives.- Ability to build relationships, influence and manage difficult conversations.
