NextGen Jobs is hiring a Business Administration Trainee to support the Corrections and Justice Services of the Department of Justice and Community Safety. Do you have an interest in working for the government while earning a Certificate III in Business Administration?

This 12 month traineeship based in Melbourne CBD provides support to the business unit to ensure the Correction and Justice Services can operate in an effective and efficient manner.

**Youth Employment Scheme (YES)**

The Youth Employment Scheme (YES) is a Victorian State Government funded initiative designed to increase the workforce participation of young people, particularly those facing significant barriers to employment. Through this program, 12-month traineeships are made available to young people aged between 15 and 29. These placements provide trainees with meaningful work experience and formal training to give a solid foundation for a sustainable career.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

Justice Health’s objective is to improve the health of adult and youth offenders in Victorian custodial settings. As a business unit of Corrections and Justice Services within the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Justice Health oversees the delivery of health, mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) services to persons in Victoria’s adult and youth justice facilities by contracted service providers.

Justice Health works in partnership with the Aboriginal community, under the Victorian Aboriginal Justice Agreement Burra Lotjpa Dunguludja, to improve outcomes for Aboriginal people and communities including through active participation in the Aboriginal Justice Forum and associated Collaborative Working Groups.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Complete general administrative functions such as answering telephones, data processing and filling
- Assist and provide support to staff on various tasks and projects
- Create and maintain various records and correspondence—both manual and electronic
- General word processing and data entry
- Liaise with people at all levels, both within and outside of the Department
- Other duties as required
