TAG Recruitment has been engaged by a Western Suburbs based ASX listed client our ours to recruit a Permanent Accounts Officer to join their shared services team. Established in the mid 80’s, this innovative company has a small business feel with a large business approach Offering a supportive and development-focused environment, the right person will find themselves wanting to join the ranks of the many long tenured professionals.

As the Accounts Officer, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and work closely with the finance team.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and reduce outstanding balances.
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and outstanding invoices.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile AR accounts and address any discrepancies.
- Perform periodic credit checks and credit limit evaluations for new and existing customers.
- Prepare and analyse AR aging reports, providing insights and recommendations for improving cash flow.
- Process incoming payments, allocate them to the correct customer accounts, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with other teams to resolve customer disputes and issues that may impact payment collections.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures related to AR functions.
- Prepare regular AR-related reports for management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
- Support with general AP-related duties and general accounting.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a similar role, demonstrating strong competence in AR/AP functions.
- Solid understanding of transactional accounting principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Adaptability and openness to change in a dynamic work environment.
