**The Role**

Due to continued growth in our sector and recent project successes, we are expanding our Buildings Team and looking for a new Structural Engineer to join us.

The duties and responsibilities of this position include:

- Contribute to the preparation of concept and schematic designs for a variety of building structures and undertaking detailed analysis and design computations during project delivery. This will involve familiarising yourself with our office practices and a range of design and construction techniques.
- Performance of detailed calculations,
- Preparation of analysis models,
- Preparation of sketch drawings and details,
- Working with other engineers and drafters within the office on the preparation of design documentation,
- Co-ordination of designs with other project team consultant,
- Participation in internal design team meetings, and at times in external meetings with broader project team including the client and other design consultants,
- Review of design documentation,
- Visits to construction and project sites to perform site inspections and to provide observation reports and supporting engineering advice,
- Preparation of Technical reports,
- Liaising with other staff members in our Brisbane office and where required our other Australian and Overseas offices,
- Project managing elements of projects, under supervision.

Your position and duties may be varied from time to time in accordance with the needs of the Company and this will be done in consultation with you.

**About you**
- Previous experience as a Structural Engineer or similar field,
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods and regulations,
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD,
- Data-driven mindset with excellent mathematical skills,
- Good communication ability (both written and verbal),
- Attention to detail,
- Degree in Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus.
