Operating at Telethon Kids Institute since 2019, CliniKids is Telethon Kids Institute’s first team integrating their world-class research with a clinical service. At the heart of our innovative model are children with developmental delay and/or an autism diagnosis, and their families. By working side by side, our exceptional team of researchers and clinicians, led by Professor Andrew Whitehouse, put research into practice, providing families with access to tailored supports and the best evidence-based therapies in the world.

Our facilities are custom-made for neurodiverse families and include creche services., The clinic unites research and therapy supports delivered through an integrated team of speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and clinical psychologists.

We now have an opportunity to join the team as our Manager, Clinical Operations.

**The Role**

Do you have experience working in medical or allied health practice and enjoy leading and managing a team? As our Manager, Clinical Operations you will primarily be responsible for ensuring clinical services operate within a framework of continuous quality improvement and risk management, to maintain a high quality of care to clients and research participants.

Working closely with the Manager, Clinical Services, you will develop and implement quality management and compliance systems around the National Disability Insurance Scheme’s Quality and Safeguarding Regulations and will be responsible for ensuring the team complies with safety, infection control and customer relations standards. This position will be integral in leading an administration team to run an efficient and integrated clinical-research service over multiple locations

More specifically you will:

- Assist research managers to set-up new research project within the clinic facilities and clinical practice management software and monitor progress.
- Use your highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills to review, develop and maintain administration standard operating procedures consistent with regulatory frameworks & quality standards required by funders (e.g. Medicare, NDIS, Disability Service Standards and Health Department
- oversee the day-to-day running of the clinical service, customer service, scheduling, budgets, reporting and the management of administration staff.
- Effectively manage change, encouraging innovation, diversity and continuous improvement.
- Oversee procurement and maintenance of equipment, software and consultancy services for the clinical programs.
- Maintain appropriate systems to manage the operations of the clinic (e.g. client management, rostering, payments systems and funder portals).
- Ensure appropriate administration and client records are kept consistent with regulatory frameworks, national guidelines and best practice.
- Assist with the facility set-up and operational processes of CliniKids sites.

This is a maternity leave contract, offered for 12 months fulltime in the first instance.

If you are an experienced, professional Practice Manager who is able to lead a small team, provide high level administration and operational support to our clinical and reception team with an enquiring dynamic approach to work and is inspired by new challenges then we are keen to hear from you.

The successful applicant would ideally have demonstrated experience in the following:

- Demonstrated experience managing a reception/administration team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a medical or allied health clinical practice.
- Demonstrated experience managing a range of health-related funding, for example, Medicare and the NDIS.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large and varied workload, set priorities and maintain motivation under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a large multidisciplinary team with a flexible, positive, and collaborative approach.
- Ability to effectively use, oversee, and train others in practice management systems.
- Exceptional level of customer care.
- Demonstrated success in change management in a complex and changing environment.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
