2ic/assistant to Manager

Our client, family-owned mixed property of cropping and sheep, seeking a solid, experienced person to join their team which consists of the Owner, Seeding Operator and General Farm Hand. Working alongside the Owner/Manager in a 2IC role, this is a great opportunity to move into a leadership role.

As 2IC you will be working closely with the Owner assisting with the day to day running of this busy mixed property. You will be required to relieve the Owner at times, ensuring that duties and plans are carried out as required.

**About the Role**:

- Work alongside the owner assisting with the day to day running of the property
- Relieve the Owner and ensure duties and plans are carried out as required
- Competent machinery operation of seeding, harvest and spraying equipment
- Day to day operations as required
- Machinery maintenance
- No expectations to work stock, but will be required to assist as needed
- Understanding of safety and how good safety practices save lives, time, and money
- Management training opportunities

**About You**:

- Honest, loyal and willing to work
- Genuine passion for farming and the agriculture industry
- Experience in broadacre and sheep farming
- HR licence minimum
- Problem solving ability with good mechanical knowledge
- Team player and ability to get along well with others

**What's on Offer**:

- $90,000 to 120,000 base salary (based on experience)
- Monday to Friday - 7.30am to 5.30pm (extra hours will be required during the busy season)
