Audit Officer

Erindale Hair Centre opened in 1985 in Erindale, ACT, is one of the leading Hairdressing salons in ACT today. It prides itself on our one-on-one approach, up-to-date knowledge, technical ability, and personal touch. The salon is equipped with 21 ladies styling stations together with four barber stations for the guys and discerning gents. The salon also features a wide range of beauty treatments, waxing, and tanning services. It also has three branches operating at LDK in Greenway, Goodwin in Farrer, and Jindalee in Narrabundah.

**Task list**:

- Detecting financial risks and reporting them to the management.
- Examining, verifying, evaluating, and reporting on the financial capacity and business effectiveness of the main centre and branches.
- Auditing financial statements and reporting to the management.
- Evaluating the cost-effectiveness and risks of operational processes and systems.
- Evaluating the sufficiency and effectiveness of internal controls and reporting to the management with recommendations for improvements.
- Determining the aims of audits and implementing audit methods.
- Presents recommendations for improvements in operations and governance.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, or commerce.
- At least 5 years’ experience as an Internal auditor, with a working knowledge of different accounting software.
- Knowledge of auditing best practices, such as internal control measures.
- An in-depth understanding of business compliance, and financial regulations.
- Knowledge of project and team management principles.
- An eye for detail and the ability to analyse large volumes of data
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Australian Citizens, Permanent Residents, and applicants with full-time work rights in Australia are preferred.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
