Vehicle Trimmer

**About the Role**
Ventia are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Trimmer / Upholsterer to join a small team at Amberley on our defence contract. As a Vehicle Trimmer you will fabricate, install, repair, replace or modify upholstery, covers and linings of tents, vehicles and equipment. Additionally, you will also regularly work on large heavy industrial canvas fabrics. The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday on 38-hour week permanent basis.

**Responsibilities**
- Operate a range of equipment, tools, including hand and power tools, precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Investigate material defects and reporting on unsatisfactory material and drafting reports
- Operating plant and machinery to perform maintenance tasks.
- Maintaining housekeeping of workshop areas.
- Conduct all Vehicle Trimmer maintenance tasks, including technical inspection and classification.

**About You**
- Hold a recognised Trade Certificate III of Proficiency (Vehicle Body - Trimming)
- Demonstrated ability and experience to inspect and repair damage to motor vehicle trim and other fabric systems
- Basic knowledge/understanding of handling Hazardous Material.
- Ability to learn and use proprietary software necessary to support the position
- Current Drivers Licence, car and forklift.
- Basic understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management System is desirable.
- Be eligible for an Australian Defence Clearance. As a result of this requirement the incumbent must be an Australian Citizen.
