Fishing Reel Technician

Shimano Australia Fishing is seeking an enthusiastic and mechanically minded individual to join our head office team in Caringbah.

The primary duties will include but are not limited to.
- Servicing and repairing of fishing reels to the highest possible standard.
- Identifying fishing reel faults, failures and assist other team members to repair reels.
- Contribute to and liaise with spare parts team.
- To work together as a team to meet minimum turnaround times for reel repairs.
- Ensure data integrity to assist in stock level management for spare parts.
- Assist with the picking and/or packing of orders.
- Assist in rolling stock takes of parts.
To be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a customer centric attitude
- Be computer literate.
- Mechanically minded, ability to diagnose, read schematics, undertake mechanical repairs, action mechanical faults and problem solve independently.
- Confident to handle and operate electrical hand tools.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and take pride in work.
- Keen, reliable, and enthusiastic to learn, a true team player.
- Have full Australian Working rights.
- Familiarity of Shimano products
- Prior experience in servicing of fishing reels or working in a similar workshop is highly regarded.
