Supervisor - Food & Beverage

Gema Aviation is currently looking for someone who is passionate about Hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
The position will report to the lounge manager and will work between approx. 28 - 35 hours per week including weekends.
The hours and days are initially as follows: Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday 2:00pm > 7:00pm (approx). Saturday 10:30am > 3:30pm.
Gema Aviation is part of the Gema Group company and we are a specialist hospitality business catering to various venues, large retail and corporate events as well as corporate functions all over Australia.
**The role**:
Oversee all aspects of the day to day food and beverage operations.
Hands on duties include: buffet duties, basic food preparation, lounge cleaning, clearing tables and providing an exceptional customer experience.
Assist the lounge manager with performance management, recruitment, training of staff, and financial reporting.
Filling in for the Lounge Manager if and when required.
Manage and supervise the food and beverage team.
Customer service.
Assist with rostering and other administrative tasks when required.
Assist with food and beverage ordering when required and inventory control.
The roster is currently 28 - 30 hours per week with the potential for additional hours due to flight delays. Permanent part-time Level 4 pay rate as per the Hospitality Industry General Award.
Days and hours may occasionally change to meet any operational or flight schedule changes. The successful applicant must be flexible to work across various days and hours of the airport operation.
**Qualifications**:
Sound knowledge of food safety legislation
Current RSA certificate
Minimum 2 years experience as a food and beverage team leader/supervisor
Must be eligible to obtain an ASIC clearance (airport security identification card) and police clearance
Must possess exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
Exceptional grooming and presentation
Exceptional customer service skills
Must be able to work well under pressure and multi task as well as prioritise duties
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour
