**About the Centre/Service**

Jells Park Preschool has been operating for over 40 years in the leafy location of Wheelers Hill. We are a community based program run by a volunteer parent committee. The kindergarten provides 3 and 4 year old programs guided by qualified and experienced Early Childhood Teachers and Co-Educators supported by the Administration and Enrolments Officer and the Finance Officer role.

**Work Days of the Role**

Thurs fortnightly (other days flexible)

**Hours of Work of the Role**

Approximately 16 hours per fortnight

**Description**
- This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the administration team at Jells Park Preschool. The Finance Officer role is ideal for an experienced accountant who is self-motivated and values flexibility. Main responsibilities of the position include:

- Budgeting
- Monthly Management Reporting
- Regulatory Reporting
- Payroll Processing
- Business Activity Statements
- Reconciliations
- Financial Statements / Audit
- Accounts Receivable / Payable
- Data Entry to MYOB

**Qualifications**
- To be successful in gaining this exciting opportunity, you will:

- Be an experienced CA or CPA qualified accountant,
- Have competent computer skills (Microsoft suite of products, MYOB),
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral,
- Have proven time management skills with an organised approach to your work,
- Be willing to provide support as required to the Committee of Management,
- Have an inquisitive mind and willingness to research to gain further knowledge and resolve issues, and
- Be self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

**Additional Requirements**

Experience in Early Childhood Education administration with an understanding of the Victorian Early Childhood Teachers and Educators Award (VECTEA) will be looked upon highly favourably, however not required if all other criteria met. Please note an above award rate is applicable to this role - (Clerks Private Sector Award 2020)
