We are a National therapy services provider who help NDIS participants - children, adolescents and adults (0-65 years) - get more out of life today by providing Allied Health services in the community.

Ability Action Australia's south west Sydney team are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners who has current suitability at the **Proficient **or **Advanced **level, as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
- Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies as per the positive behaviour support framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
- Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths
- Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners

**Qualifications**
- Current suitability - confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission - at the **Proficient or Advanced level as a Behaviour Support Practitoner**:

- Completion of a degree level qualification in an allied health discipline would be an advantage but is not essential
