The Finance Cadet will undertake key processing tasks with broad exposure to asset accounting, tax, reconciliations, end of year reporting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. This position once trained internally will be responsible for the delivery of quality, timely, efficient and accurate accounting services to Council’s internal and external stakeholders.

**What we offer...**
- Temporary Full-time position (for the duration of your studies)
- 35 hours per week
- Salary from $889.00 to $1124.90 per week (salary is dependent on the stage of your studies, skills and experience)
- Obtain on-the-job training whilst completing a degree in Accounting or finance
- Cadets are eligible for study leave
- Funding assistance towards your tuition costs
- Plus 11% superannuation

**What you'll need to be successful in the role...**
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven organisational skills to manage workloads and meet competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service with a flexible attitude and ability to use initiative
- Highly motivated to work in a dynamic team environment and contribute to group outcomes
- Sound interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Confident Excel user
- Comfortable working in an ICT environment and confidence to learn software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
