Hseq Officer

We are seeking a proactive entry level Health Safety Environment and Quality Officer to support our well established HSEQ team based in Lane Cove West.

Glascott Landscape and Civil are an award-winning Landscape Construction company with 30 years' experience. We specialise in large scale landscape and civil construction projects for builders, government bodies, developers, architects, and contractors.

**Key responsibilities**
- Assist with site compliance, supporting HSEQ activities including inspections, incident investigation, risk assessments and audits.
- Ensure actions from inspections, audits, incident investigations, observations, hazard reports, staff meetings and workforce meetings are captured, recorded and followed through until closed out.
- Internal and external audit planning and co-ordination.
- Supporting the HSEQ Manager with:

- Providing tender support in relation to HSEQ compliance
- Actively review local legislation to ensure safety obligations are met.
- Manage and book external training courses as required for staff
- Draft HSE reports for senior management and the wider HSEQ team on risks, injuries, return to work and other related metrics.
- Promote best practice in health, safety, environmental and quality matters in conjunction with the HSEQ department

**Skills and Experience**
- 1-2 years’ experience in a WHS, HSEQ or an Administrative role, preferable.
- Certificate IV in WHS will be highly regarded
- Excellent planning and coordination skills
- Proficient Computer skills with experience in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good time management and communication skills
