**About Us**:
Located on Level 1, the Sterilising Services department at John Hunter Hospital The Service Operates 24/7 Monday to Friday and on Weekends and Public Holidays the Department is open 7:00 to 23:00, providing essential reprocessing services to John Hunter, Belmont, and Calvary Mater Hospitals. We support 15 Operating Suites and numerous clinics, wards, and external customers. Excitingly, our department will move to the new Acute Services Building in 2026

**Opportunities Available**:

- Permanent Full Time or Part Time
- Temporary Full Time or Part Time (Contract duration: Nov 2024 - October 2025)

**Your Role**:
As a Sterilisation Tech, you will reprocess a variety of medical and surgical equipment for specialties including Orthopaedics, Trauma, and Neuro, adhering to statutory requirements and departmental policies. Your expertise will also support our external customer services.

**Requirements**:

- A Sterilising Certificate
- Strong understanding of the sterilising process and the instrument tracking system
- Excellent communication skills

**Training and Support**:
You will receive comprehensive training coordinated by our Quality Education Coordinator, along with support from Supervisors and Team Leaders.

**Additional Information**:

- This position is full time; however, part time arrangements will be considered.
- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
- Casual opportunities may be available for recommended applicants
