**_ What is an AV Technician Support _**_at Hume City Council?_**

The Community Centres & Venues Team are looking for a highly motivated, and experienced AV Technician Support Officer to join our team. This position will be responsible for assisting the community with all their AV requirements and assisting in the installation of AV equipment in a range of facilities across the municipality.

**_ About you_**
- Must have skilled knowledge of audio-visual equipment.
- Must have skilled knowledge of computers, presentation software and A/V equipment.
- Ability to operate with mínimal supervision and show high levels of initiative.
- Time management skills including a demonstrated capacity to set and achieve goals and objectives and deliver projects on time despite conflicting pressures.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to monitor and maintain accurate records to ensure systems and processes are maintained and adhered to.

**_ Position objectives_**
- To undertake duties as allocated by the AV Technician to work as part of a professional team in the provision of technical preparation and presentation at events, primarily within the Town Hall
- Broadmeadows and Hume Global Learning Centres and at times other centres.
- Responsible for the setup, running and pack down of AV equipment including but not limited to sound, lighting, video and staging etc.
- Triage, resolve or escalate support faults within the agreed timeframes using appropriate processes/systems within the Town Hall Broadmeadows, Hume Global Learning Centres and community centres.
- Provide support during events, functions, expos including setting up and operating equipment based on the occupancy requirements of the facility.
- Qualifications in Audio Visual with at least two years on the job experience
- Knowledge and ability to setup/operate a range of equipment including but not limited to projectors, surround sound, lighting, video conferencing, staging etc.
- Flexibility to work a range of hours and weekends and to work across various sites
- Provide support to the Venue Officers with set up and break down of rooms involving the moving and setting of furniture and staging.
- Provide support during events, functions, expos including setting up and operating equipment based on the occupancy requirements of the facility.
- Experience in providing IT and AV support and the processes associated, ideally within a facility and event environment.
- Moderate understanding of network infrastructure is essential.
