We are seeking a passionate Draftsperson motivated to learn and develop new skills to document manufacturing in our Canberra factory and move towards our vision of revolutionising the building industry through prefabricated Passivhaus homes.

You will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, translating architectural designs into precise technical drawings and plans for our prefabricated passive houses. You will learn how to optimise and fully specify designs by collaborating closely with our sales and engineering teams. Your expertise in CAD software, attention to detail, and drive to learn and improve will contribute to the success of our projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Translate architectural designs and specifications into detailed technical drawings using CAD software.
- Create accurate, comprehensive 3D models of prefabricated passive house structures.
- Collaborate with the sales and engineering teams to ensure compliance with passive house principles and local building codes.
- Incorporate design changes and updates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct detailed material take-offs and provide accurate quantity estimates.
- Work closely with production teams to communicate design requirements and provide technical support during the manufacturing process.
- Ensure all drawings and documentation are properly organised and maintained in compliance with company standards.
- Use lean methodologies to improve your workflows through continuous improvements.

Essential Qualifications:

- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Strong technical drafting skills with an emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience creating 2D and 3D models, plans, and elevations for residential or commercial construction projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

A keen interest in sustainable construction practices and a commitment to environmentally friendly design.

Desired Qualifications:

- Proficiency with the CADWork software package.
- Solid understanding of passive house principles and energy-efficient building design.
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in architecture, engineering, drafting, or a related field.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
