Playroom Attendant

Fernwood Hornsby - ALL FEMALE Health & Fitness.

Assist in the operation of the Supervised Play Area in accordance with the direction from the Club Manager, and Fernwood Policies & Procedures.
- Treat all children with a high level of care and respect, maintaining positive relationships and anticipating needs.
- 15 hours a week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings (0830 - approx. 13.30)
- Establish relationships and interact with children, giving each child attention and comfort as required.
- Communicate with parents & guardians about any changes to center and service, or organized activities as directed by Club Manager and/or Supervised Play Area Supervisor, in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure interactions with parents, guardians and children is always positive and respectful.
- Work within established Fernwood Womens Health Clubs operations procedures.
- Ensure child to staff ratio is maintained as per Fernwood and legislative guidelines, and that overcrowding does not occur. Advise Club Manager of daily numbers and bookings.
- Ensure all children are signed in and out of the Supervised Play Area.
- Ensure the area is clean and tidy at all times, and children are safe and secure.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure all member information is secure.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS - QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Relevant Qualification for the position (Cert 3/Diploma in Early Childhood)
- Computer literacy - including basic Word, Excel, and Outlook skills.
- Minimum Higher School Certificate.
- Has equivalent practical industry experience.
- Working with Children Check to be completed, with Police Record check (where applicable) - no older than 6 months.
- Current Level 2 Senior First Aid Certificate and CPR.
