Fifo Concreter

NW Mining & Civil are urgently seeking an experienced Concreter to join our client’s team based in Mt Isa.

Daily duties will include small, medium and large scale concreting works on mine sites, commercial and residential sites in the Mt Isa region. You will be setting out jobs and doing the form work, as well as screeding & finishing.

In between concreting jobs, you must be willing and able to carry out other all rounder tasks, such as labouring, assisting trades people on shutdowns and other general construction & maintenance work.

The right person for this job will be reliable, able to work autonomously and be able to read simple plans. Having a great attitude and being willing to take on any task that is thrown your way will set you in good stead for a long career with our client.

Much of the mine site work will be in lead areas where you need to be clean shaven each day and wear a full face respirator, applicants must also be willing & able to pass a pre employment medical and complete the required inductions.

The roster will be 3 weeks on, 2 weeks off, with meals & accommodation provided while on shift. Local Mt Isa applicants are preferred, but flights are available from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns.

You will be working 12hr day shifts, pay rate starts at $50/hr flat rate based on quals & experience.
- Relevant concreting experience
- Be willing to work in lead areas of the mine
- Drivers licence is preferred but not essential
- Current confined space & working at heights (within 2 years or be willing to obtain)
- Mine site ready applicants preferred, must be willing to obtain all mandatory requirements
