Aveo is seeking a passionate and energised Events & Activities Coordinator to join Lisson Manor Retirement Village, based in Hawthorn VIC. Reporting directly to the Community Manager, you will work both autonomously and collaboratively to coordinate events, activities and services for the amazing residents. In this fantastic community, you will motivate, engage and enable residents to participate in a wide range of experiences including physical, social and community-orientated activities every day.

**About your new role at Lisson Manor**:

- **Fixed-term full-time role until July 2024** to cover parental leave, with the possibility of extension. Roster - Monday-Friday 9-5pm
- Coordinate and deliver fun, inclusive and exciting events to our residents on a regular schedule
- Deliver a holistic activities program that promotes independence, learning new hobbies and enabling social connections
- Collaborate and engage with key stakeholders such as the residents, local businesses and Aveo staff to deliver programs that builds participation
- Create weekly schedules for all new events and distribute newsletters highlighting upcoming events
- Be the welcoming face to all new residents in the community by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to our community.
- Complete general adhoc duties including (but not limited to): conducting feedback surveys, attending staff meetings, participating in networking events and general administrative tasks

**To be successful**:

- Previous experience in developing group programs with a resident-centred approach
- A genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors
- A natural networker - someone who can collaborate with the local community cohesively
- Possesses a high level of communication and organisation skills.
- Has the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
- Be creative - we want someone to create FUN events

**About you**:

- Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (highly desired)
- Current COVID-19 Vaccination (required)
- Current Police Check clearance (required)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (required, or obtain prior to commencement)
- Sound literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
