**About the role**:
The **Hairdressing and Beauty Technician provides technical and logístical support to the relevant teaching areas of the Faculty of Business, IT & Applied Arts. This support includes**:

- Maintaining stock and stock take of levels for Hairdressing and Beauty
- Assist raising purchase orders and obtaining competitive quotes for student equipment, products, resources and items needed for efficient operation of the department.
- Monitoring and maintaining consumables, cleaning products and minor equipment for the day spa and hairdressing areas
- Maintaining, cleaning and ensuring tidiness of equipment and infrastructure within the day spa and hairdressing areas.
- Assisting on reception when required including but not limited to Managing client bookings and a client database within the day spa and hairdressing Salon.
- Assisting in Faculty events including but not limited to expos, information evening and open days.
- Representative of Hair and Beauty for Workplace Health & Safety including monitoring and reporting of any incidents, logging jobs with facilities and the responsibility of keeping the store room neat, clean and tidy following Occupational health and safety legislation.

**Your Skills and Qualifications**:

- **A relevant qualification in Business, Office Administration with experience in a similar administrative role or a combination of both. A back ground in the Hair and Beauty industry would be an advantage**:

- **A Level 2 First Aid qualification or a willingness to undertake this training**:

- **Test and Tag Course highly desired**

Expertise Requirements
- **Maintaining adequate stock levels for Hairdressing and Beauty**:

- **Assisting raising purchase orders and obtaining competitive quotes for student equipment, products, resources and items needed for efficient operation of the department.**
