**About the role**
**- **As a dynamic and innovative member of our school community, you will:

**About you** - To be successful in this role you will bring relevant qualifications and contemporary teaching experience in Mathematics as well as:

- Strong literacy, numeracy and digital literacy practices plus a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum

- Proven organisational skills
- Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to achieve the best outcomes
- Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.

At BCE our teachers are required to:

- Hold a current Queensland College of Teachers registration; and
- Be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Mt Maria College, North Brisbane’s first Catholic Co-Educational College, was established in 1978. As a member of Marist Schools Australia, our educational philosophy is based on the teachings of St Marcellin Champagnat, the founder of the Marist Order. **_Do I have to be Catholic?_**
All BCE teachers must have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education. If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic.

Our teachers of Religious Education are required to be Catholic and attain Accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school. Not accredited to teach in a Catholic school yet? That’s okay, BCE will support you to achieve this through your professional development after you start with us.
