This independent Federal Government agency's purpose is to regulate and improve the quality and safety of supports and services provided through a scheme developed to support those living with a disability. It works with participants, service providers, workers, and the community to implement a new consistent approach across the nation that respects the rights, choice and dignity of participants.

This agency also handles complaints, monitors compliance and provides guidance. It aims to reduce and eliminate the use of restrictive practices within the scheme. In addition, this agency collaborates with other authorities and agencies to share information and ensure the best outcomes for participants.

**Location**:
Multiple locations - Canberra ACT, Sydney NSW, Melbourne VIC, Brisbane QLD, Adelaide SA, Perth WA, Darwin NT and Hobart TAS.

**Applicants will additionally need;**
- Be willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police check
- Have a Baseline Clearance or have the ability to obtain
- A strong background in compliance/investigations
- Experience in preparation of complex/sensitive content

- $52-60 per hour + Super for APS5
- $61-70 per hour + Super for APS6
- Positions are available to 25 August 2025, with the option to extend a further 12 months to 25 August 2026.
- Standard Hours or work
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm - 37.5hrs pw
- Hybrid working - need to be able to get to the office 50/50 spilt meaning 3 days one week and 2 days the next week in the office.
- Position available in all States of Australia

**Job Specifics**:
APS5 & APS6 Level available depending on experience
37.5 Hour per week, Monday to Friday, typically 9am to 5pm - some flexibility may be offered.
**Hybrid WFH**: 50/50 Fortnightly - 3 days in the office one week, 2 days the next
18 Month initial opportunity with 12 month extension option

**APS5 Compliance/Investigations Officers**
- Conduct compliance monitoring and investigative activities, designed to disrupt, prevent and mitigate fraud against the NDIS, through execution of operational activities, as well as compliance and enforcement actions
- Exercise investigation and monitoring powers and undertake other evidence-gathering activities to inform the development of briefings recommending a range of administrative and court-based outcomes
- Liaise with other government agencies and Taskforce partners, share information, produce briefing papers including recommendations to address quality and safeguarding risks arising from fraud and misuse of NDIS plan funds
- Implement and monitor the impact of regulatory action, including large-scale disruption activities
- Engage across the full range of the NDIS Commission’s functions, identifying and fostering opportunities to deploy cross-functional strategies to address compliance issues
- Contribute to the planning and monitoring of work processes for a small team
- Other duties as required.
