**About the Role**

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the newly created role of Executive General Manager, Business Operations will provide strategic leadership and support to the organisation's operational business units. This role aims to optimise operational efficiency, encourage and support new business growth initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

By leading the General Managers of the individual business units, the Executive General Manager plays a crucial role in aligning their efforts with the company's overall objectives whilst balancing the need for local autonomy and agility. This position focuses on identifying synergies, implementing best practices, and driving operational excellence to achieve enhanced performance and sustained growth.

The Executive General Manager will assist in the roll out of national initiatives and will oversee the development and execution of the business unit's strategic plans and budgets, ensuring financial and strategic objectives are monitored and met.

With the business units spread across the country, regular travel is required.

**About You**

You will have previous experience in an operational executive leadership role with a proven track record of successfully leading and managing multiple business units within a complex organisation.

You will also have the following skills, experience and attributes:

- Effective influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong trusting relationships
- Proven business acumen and experience in delivering positive commercial outcomes
- Experience in developing budgets and managing financial performance
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated experience in driving operational excellence and implementing best practice.
- Experience in developing, leading and implementing HSEQ plans and initiatives

Ideally, you will have an understanding of and experience in the marine and/or tourism industries.
