Our Content team provides access to content, advice and support on intellectual property rights, open educational practice and manages our created learning objects and research outputs while ensuring data quality across our various content systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team responsible for connecting UniSQ students teachers and researchers to scholarly content, delivering a premium digital library experience, providing copyright advice, and overseeing UniSQ's outstanding open education publishing and advocacy activities, all with a focus on evidence-based practice, inclusion and accessibility, and open access opportunities.

Your proven expertise in the management of significant human, financial and material resources, along with your substantial knowledge of digital scholarly content creation, curation, access and discovery, and your creative, inquiring, analytical approach will ensure your success. Your team will learn and thrive under your motivating leadership, and you will use your interpersonal and communication skills to develop and maintain strong partnerships within and beyond the University.

**What you'll do**:
Reporting to the University Librarian and Director (Library Services), you will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the Library’s content creation, management and curation activities. Additionally, you will:

- Develop robust internal management systems and processes with a clear focus on effective use of Library resources and compliance with legal, regulatory and University requirements.
- Lead the development of the Library’s digital systems and interfaces, providing leadership to investigate and exploit technology and best practices within the Library environment.
- Formulate and prepare proposals, recommendations, submissions and briefing papers of a complex nature on strategies, plans, policies and practices as they relate to scholarly content, copyright, open educational practice and digital experience delivery.

**What will help you succeed**:
Key to your success in this role will be your demonstratable understanding of the emerging trends in academic libraries and higher education. Additionally, the following requirements will help you succeed in the role:

- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and eligibility for Associate member of the Australian Library and Information Association, together with a demonstrated record achievement in library and information in a senior role.
- Demonstrated extensive high-level knowledge and expertise in specialist library systems,
- Significant staff management experience to lead, motivate and develop staff in a distributed team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to collaboratively develop high-level plans and strategies that clearly define required outcomes, coupled with the ability to deliver positive, innovative solutions.

**Salary**: Total remuneration range $148,998 to $185,146 pa (includes salary range of $125,886 to $139,540 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
