Are you looking for a rewarding new challenge? We are seeking suitably qualified Academic Support Officers to join us in the Academic Operations Unit. In this role you will work under the general direction of the Manager, Academic Services to provide a wide range of professional services to support the Department Chairs and the School’s academic staff. You will also facilitate compliance with University and School processes and assist in streamlining processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

You will provide a level of executive and secretariat support to Academic Department Chairs and assist with academic staff compliance to School processes and procedures. You will also have responsibility for a wide range of operational tasks to support the requirements of the schools. This position plays a key role in the administrative requirements surrounding sessional staff engagement and administration. The position may be required to provide back up support within Schools and Communities of Practice.

Due to career development and secondment opportunities available at Swinburne, the Academic Operations Unit is looking for Academic Support Officers to commence both immediately and throughout the year.

**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

- Demonstrated high level of confidential detailed administrative support to senior management.
- Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills and the ability to manage competing and conflicting deadlines.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to review and evaluate systems to ensure continuous efficient office management.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, oral and written, particularly as they relate to maintenance of relationships with a diverse range of multiple communication networks and channels with internal and external stakeholders.

**Qualifications**
Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
