**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Recruitment Officer to join our professional and supportive HR team for up to 12 months.

As a Recruitment Officer, you will facilitate the recruitment process from beginning to end, including evaluating position descriptions, writing and placing advertisements, assisting with shortlisting, interviewing and selection and advising line managers on recruitment strategies and best practise.

**About you**

We are seeking a self-motivated, enthusiastic professional who has the proven ability to multi-task and demonstrates an exceptional eye for detail. You will also be able to work autonomously and as part of a dynamic team You will be a high achiever with:

- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Experience in writing and placing job advertisements
- Experience in, and understanding of, interview and selection techniques
- Proactive approach and ability to work autonomously to ensure tasks are completed
- Customer-focused attitude
- Experience in evaluating and writing position descriptions
- An understanding of the legal and ethical considerations of recruitment in a Local Government environment

**Desirable Criteria**
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment in a Local Government environment
