**About the Centre/Service**

Olinda Avenue Preschool is a small public preschool in Springvale, in Melbourne’s South-Eastern suburbs, established in 1968. We are rated as ‘Exceeding the NQS’ and run as a not-for-profit entity by a volunteer committee, with a professional staff of three teachers, three co-educators, and outsourced accounting and admin roles.

**Description**

**Qualifications**
- As we are located in an area with a large proportion of families who are Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, our program is centred around delivering early education that respects the cultural and linguistic practices of our children and their families, and you must be able to demonstrate how your teaching will contribute to these goals. You will:

- Work in partnership with the teaching team
- Have excellent knowledge of the NQF and be competent in implementing the VEYLDF
- Be confident and articulate in early childhood pedagogy and practice
- Have excellent communication skills and a positive, enthusiastic and professional attitude
- Be committed to nurturing relationships with children and families
- Demonstrate understanding of cultural competence and embody this in your teaching practice and interpersonal relationships

**Requirements**:
VIT Registration

**Additional Requirements**
- Bachelor of Teaching or equivalent - Current VIT Registration - Current approved First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training
