3D Artist

Viewport is seeking new talent to join their growing team of passionate artists and engineers. You'll work and learn with industry leaders, at a studio where quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we produce. Australian leaders in custom built Immersive and Interactive software, the successful applicant will work alongside a talented team working with cutting edge technology in a diverse range of industry sectors.

Successful applicants will be working in both offline and real time rendering pipelines.
- Highly proficient with at least one major 3D package like 3DS Max (preferred), or Maya.
- Highly proficient with Industry Standard Rendering Engines, both offline or realtime. VRay, Corona, Unreal, Unity etc.
- Highly proficient with Adobe Suite for Image Grading / Compositing
- Highly proficient at 3D modelling, retopologizing, UV & texturing assets from reference or concept art.
- Ability to create both high and low poly models, baking normal maps from high poly assets.
- Solid understanding of UV layout for efficient texture usage and light-maps.
- Solid knowledge of PBR material authoring tools (Substance Painter or Quixel Suite).
- Experience with polygonal optimisation and LOD creation.
- Experience with asset pipeline, integrating 3D models, textures etc. into Unity / Unreal.
- Experience managing teams, budgets, timeline and company resources.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a proactive nature.
- Ability to work in a team and to integrate into production pipelines and hierarchies.
- Contribute to an evolving design culture and company values.

A comprehensive portfolio of your work is required, which should clearly demonstrate your skill level and experience. Artists require a keen eye for lighting, texturing, detail and tone. A clear understanding of organisational hierarchy and adhering to workflows and file structure must be demonstrated. Applications without portfolios will be automatically rejected.

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
