Experienced Luthier

Come and join the Bows for Strings team We currently have a position available to join our workshop team of luthier.

We are looking for an experienced Luthier, passionate about music to join our team at our Glen Waverley workshop 4-5 days a week.

Job responsibilities:
Tasks of the role include (but are not limited to):

- Setting up and repairing instruments to a high standard
- Conducting repair work as guided by the Head Luthier
- Performing instrument maintenance including string changes and instrument cleaning
- Tool maintenance and equipment maintenance
- Passionate about musical instruments and their history
- Have strong communication skills and be able to communicate clearly with staff
- Demonstrated previous experience working as a luthier for 3+ years
- Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritise what needs to be done
- Know how to safely handle machinery and tools
- Able to work well in a team environment

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
