**The Role**
The Directorate of Maritime Engineering Logistics (DMEL) is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead a small multi-disciplined team in the sustainment and enhancement of NLIS Software Platforms Technical Regulatory Management System (TRMS) and Maritime Maintenance Portal (MMP). Enthusiastic and effective stakeholder relationships with our industry partners, peers and colleagues exercising sound judgement will help to deliver the best outcomes aligned to fleet whilst meeting the expectations of the business.

This role requires you to set priorities and manage workflows, provide feedback and develop and maintain quality controls within the product suite. Oversight in strategic and operational level stakeholder engagement in enhancement projects for these products will be required as part of the evolving ICT landscape of Defence.

This role requires proficiency in product management, while experience in contract management, project management or ICT Support Engineer or Service Manager would be highly favourable.

The Directorate of Maritime Engineering and Logistics, within the Maritime Support Branch, is the business owner for the Naval Asset Management System encompassing configuration management, engineering, maintenance, and supply support practices within the Naval Logistics Information Systems. In collaboration with Navy, CIOG and Industry, we enable maritime enterprises to optimise their naval assets. We deliver standardised solutions that integrate people, processes, tools, data and governance. Our mission is to provide products and services that enable Maritime Enterprises to optimise Naval Asset Management practices. DMEL help Maritime organisations optimise costs and improve the management of Surface Fleet assets. Our goal is to improve efficiency, risk management, decision-making and assurance of Seaworthiness outcomes for Navy.
- Initiative to make informed decisions and solve complex problems under limited/broad direction;
- Leverage available resources and shifting priorities to meet demands;
- Experience in operating in Defence ICT or Defence Commercial management environments;
- Ability to resolve competing priorities and accountability to contribute towards ongoing business and self-improvement; and
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills.
