Icon Equipment International is a fully Australian owned company providing filling, capping, conveying and turn key solutions catering to a range of industries including the dairy, food & beverage, chemical, personal care and pharmaceutical industries.
As part of our workshop team, you will be involved in producing components on manual mills and lathes for food and beverage machinery.
As part of our workshop team, you will be involved in the production, assembly, installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of food and beverage machinery.
This role would ideally suit a fitter with some fabrication experience.
This is an exciting and varied role and we encourage people who have experience commensurate with the following to apply:
**General Requirements**
- 5 years minimum industry-based experience
- Mechanical trade qualification
- Experience in fabrication including welding of light to medium gauge stainless steel to food grade standards
- Ability to fit, assemble and install mechanical components.
- Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to produce machine parts and packaging machinery
- Experience working with a variety of materials, including metals and plastics
- Ability to interpret Engineering drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine settings
- QC of fabricated and assembled parts for quality and ensure measurements are correct
- Attention to detail and ability to work to precise tolerances and speicifications
- Represent the company in a professional manner with a positive attitude
- Strong focus on HSE
- Possess excellent customer relation skills
- Ability to meet deadlines - good time management skills
- Ability to employ thorough & methodical working techniques
- Driver’s license (manual)
- Capability in site installation of machines and equipment
- Proficiency with electromechanical automation and industrial machinery would be an advantage
- Experience in fault finding and undertaking operational maintenance of machines and providing breakdown support
The role is based out of the Reservoir facility although regional and interstate travel may become a major part of the role.
Pay: $73,900.00 per year
